We are at my wife's parents house. The kids were having all the fun with cousins get together.
Our resident SHIN CHAN entertaining all of us. Mother & child having fun together. Happy Mother's day.
We got the FIAT PALIO 1.6 GTX Black Beauty all washed up and ready to start from Coimbatore to Palakkad Kerala.
She is 2012 manufactured Italian Beauty. 17 Years of age.
In Automotive Language it means she is way past her prime and an out dated model.
She still makes me go weak in my knees with her styling, shape, ride quality & handing.
A Driver's Car that has taken me & my family far & wide.
We have had a wonderful experience with our FIAT Palio.
My original FIAT Palio 1.6 GTX was Silver Frost and I lost this Car during December 2015 Chennai Floods.
She had done 175000 KMs and I still have it in the workshop hoping to restore it.
CNBC India in association with Autocar, Good Year & Amaron Hi Life Batteries announced the various winners for the CNBC Autocar Auto Awards on January 14, 2002
Fiat Palio won the "Best Car Of The Year" and also the "Best Value For Money Award.
The Fiat Palio bagged the Business Standard Motoring Car of the Year Award for 2002.
This Black Beauty below was acquired by me in end of December 2014 in Chennai. She was about to be scrappaed and I managed to save it.
She was unused for close to 2 years in 2013 & 2014.
The condition of the Car was in very bad shape. Rats had bitten many wires. I too could not restore this Palio for next 2 years in 2015 & 2016
By end of December 2016 on 17th Dec I started the restoration work and in 5 days WORLD OF SERVICE MULTI BRAND CAR CARE CENTER in Kolapakkam Chennai restored the Palio.
On 21st December 2016 I started driving this Car and drove it straight to Kolkatta covering 1800 KMs without any overnight halt and further drove on to cover 4 states of North East of India, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh (Tawang China Border, Meghalaya (Cheerapunjee) Bangladesh Border & Nagaland.
We waited for Vijay Shankar to come back from his college.
He had his exams. He reached home by night 8.00 PM and we started by 8.30 PM.
It rained heavily. The climate changed and the rains brought a lot of coolness.
We started from Coimbatore at 8.30 PM night from Coimbatore to Palakkad.
6 of us in the FIAT PALIO.
2 Adults & 1 college going young lad, 3 kids.
We stopped by Hotel Anandhas at Vadavalli and had an awesome dinner & get together with the kids having all the fun.
17.05.2019 (Friday) Night 10 PM we started from Vadavallai Coimbatore to Pallassana East Village in Palakkad Kerala

Enroute at Madhukarai after the Madhukarain Cement Factory after crossing the Madhukarain Railway station we stopped to meet Padmanabhan (Pattu) who was office colleague of Jamuna.
Pattu had been waiting for long time just to meet all of us and say hello to Jamuna and us. So kind of him
We had a very good meet and we found a cloth shop on the highway where was was waiting selling hosiery garments and Jamuna & kids picked up some cotton clothes.
We left Madhukarai by night 11 PM towards Pallassana Palakkad. It was very late.
We had heavy rains again entoute and we finally reached Pallasana Village & we were at the temple of the famous Pallassana Meenkolathu Bhagavathi Amman Temple Mother Goddess at midnight / early morning 12.05 AM.

Pallassana East Village is my ancestors village & we hail from this village.
Pallassana is divided into East & West Village.
In the East Village Lord Shiva as Gargheshwara is the Presiding Deity (Grama Deva) & in the West Village Lord Vishnu as Santhana Gopalakrishna is the Presiding Deity.
In the night it was so confusing with so many roads & no directions I ended up reaching the West Village instead of the East Village.
After a lot of search going up & down the maze of inside roads, I finally managed to find the correct road and finally at 1 AM in the mid night reached the Pallassana East village.
We finally reached the house of Sri.Venkatesh & Sri.Shankar and his parents & grand parents are long time residents of Pallassana and would have known my great grand parents.
One Prakash a resident of this village he keeps their house key and works for them doing few of their works.
He was waiting for us and awake and was kind enough to come & open up the house & help us to settle down & gave us the keys.
Sri.Venkatesh & Sri.Shankar family are so kind enough to give their house for us to stay when ever we have visited Pallassana even earlier too.
These agraharam houses are so beautiful. They are simple, low cost built with wood, bricks and clay tiles and mud.
Inside it is relatively cool even when the climate outside is so hot.
We were so tired and after unloading the luggage we went off to sleep.
18.05.2019 (Saturday) Early Morning 1 AM we reached Pallassana East Village.
